Nice to Meet You!

Hi. My name is Debby. I worked in advertising for many years, but after having two children, the hours were just to demanding. So at the age of 40, I went back to school for my teaching certficate. Presently, I am a third grade teacher for the Rahway Public School District. The class I have this year has been terrific. I am really enjoying my teaching experience. Surprise, surprise. Our school librarian/medi specialist wanted to work with high school students. So, when the high school librarian/media specialist retired, she moved up. My principal could not find anyone he felt he could work with on a day to day schedule so, he asked me if I would be interested in going back to school to train for the position. Change in my job is very common for me. I love learning different skills and tasks. So I told him I would take the job, but not until September. I did not want to leave my students in the middle of the year. The principal and the superintendent both agreed. Here I am, back at school at loving the challenge. As for technology, I feel what I know is very limited. I look forward to learning more.
